Sean Peleman lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. He earned his Master’s degree in Printmaking from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp, in 2024. His multidisciplinary practice spans installation, sound design, video art, and printed matter—often weaving these elements into immersive, conceptual environments.

Through his collaborative space ALAS!, a transdisciplinary platform, Peleman develops projects and publications that move between institutional frameworks and underground scenes. His work is deeply informed by his involvement in the music group Plexi Stad, as well as an ongoing fascination with videographic obscurities and the enduring presence of pop culture.

Naive silhouettes and archetypes serve as visual anchors in his work, functioning as both symbols and specters. His artistic output often acts as a layered reflection of his environment—sometimes mirroring it, other times challenging it through opposition or critical distance. In doing so, he aims to tap into what he suspects may be a universal visual language—one that transcends historical context, cultural trends, and even the idea of a fixed future.
